Application Tips

To apply for financial assistance you and your family must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The online application is available at (BIR’s school code is 034483). Aid packages improve if BIR receives your FAFSA two weeks before the start of the term.

Helpful tips for applying:

Complete FAFSA In a Timely Manner

  • In order for you to start in your desired term, please ensure BIR has your FAFSA two weeks in advance of the start of that term.

Complete FAFSA Carefully

  • Make sure all information is accurate and complete. Mistakes can cause delays.

Stay In Touch

  • Respond promptly to any correspondence you receive from the Financial Aid Office and school. The Financial Aid Office is open Monday - Friday at the Devon and Loop campuses.

Keep Good Records

  • Save copies of forms, correspondence, and any other financial aid information.

Reapply Every Year

  • New FAFSAs are available after January 1st.
